New species for the P-O: the Whiskered Wagtail! Only joking. It's a White Wagtail (sub species of the Pied), collecting dog hair from our garden, for its nest.

Short-toed treecreeper. I'm 99.99% sure it's a short-toed, but only because its cousin - the one we see in the UK - is considered rare in this region. Hard to make out any distinguishing marks (let alone toe length!) at this distance. Its French name sensibly avoids reference to toes: Grimpereau des jardins (gardencreeper) as opposed to Grimpereau des bois (woodcreeper).
